996 Turbo Tip Help!

996 Turbo Tip Help!

In order to afford a 996 TT I bought a car that had been hit damaging the right fender and right front suspension and mildly tweaking the left rear suspension.

The key would not come out the ignition so it was replaced. The key still is very difficult to remove and the gear shift is very hard to move back and forth taking two hands to force it into gear.

43,000 miles on the car. Any idea what has gone wrong with the tip and or gear changer? Everything else operates normally

Thank you

You may wanna go to 6SpeedOnline. I used to have a 996 turbo tip car. I think those use cables to actuate the shifting of the transmission

Thanks Scott. I did post there but have not heard anything yet. I think you are right about the cables being a problem.
