...Introduction and looking for an aircooled ride

...well never say never!

Hello everyone,

My name is Daniel. I am reading this forum for quite some years now but I was always too lazy to introduce myself - and I don't even know if that's common to do here.
I am 35 years old and from Germany and I fell in love with the 911 G-Modell since I was a little boy.
Some years ago as the fire to own a 911 was rising again, I thought to treat myself and finally buy my childhood dream car wich turned out to be an 86 Carrera Coupe in prussian blue.
That was No.1 Porsche. All over sudden my girl friend, who always had petrol running through her veins as well (but at the time only for modern fast and expensive crappy plastic cars), spotted a 911
F-Model for the first time and after that, the painstaking search begun. We searched for F-Model Targas mainly in Germany and Britain (my girlfriend is from England) but soon found out that british 911 F-Models in our price range
were mostly kept alive by filler, thanks to british weather conditions. This was in 2013 at a time, when prices for these cars where about to hit the roof in Europe.
Eventually and after getting disapointed several times looking at a couple of expensive rust buckets and paying an expert for inspecting these cars, we found a homecomer who made it all the way back from Nevada
to the "fatherland". It's a 911T Targa from 72 with the outside oil filler flap powered by MFI (...which runs great against all odds). So this was Porsche No. 2 arriving. And then Finally in 2012 our daughter was born, who is the most valuable little "Porsche" No. 3 in our family.
I always think...isn't it good that she can grow up knowing what real metal looks and sounds like...I wish I was her...considering that she is going to inherit at least two cool classic cars!
Coming back to the headline of this thread: I will be in New York City on 04/05 of December (financial district) and I would love to do any kind of old Porsche stuff and meet some Porsche enthusiasts while I am there.
If anyone of you calls NYC hometown and has some time during these days, just let me know.
I attached some pictures of our cars - and looking forward to your comments - by the way the old E30 shown in the last picture was my first "young classic car" I took it out to Lake Como in Italy this year for a 5 days vacation. It was a blast to drive this old 6 cylinder
girl through Switzerland and Italy with the roof down.

Cheers

Daniel

Wow, stunning scenery! I like that blue as well. I think I went through that area...in the middle of the night on a train to Zurich...really wish it has been DAYLIGHT!!
