Mystery Connector
Maybe it's always been there, but I don't recall the open connector just under the idle control valve (pictured below) on my '84 Carrera. What is it for and should there be a cover over the open end terminals?

Should have a rubber plug/cover. I think it is for a rarely used test sensor on the back of the engine.

If I remember right, Steve Wong has discussed how to connect these to test (adjust) air flow, idle speed, ...

It is an obsolete dealer port to find TDC and other data.
I had mine removed.
