Which G50 models go with which car models?
I'm making a look-up table for a transmission gear checking instrument for racing rules compliance. I need to know the tooth counts on the transmissions (typical sales literature gives ratios to two decimal places, but I need at least three decimal places).
Porsche conveniently has parts catalogs available on line covering at least all the 3.2, 964, and 993 G50 transmissions, and those give the gear tooth counts. But I get confused because even the US on-line parts catalogs (which are what I most need) list different gears (typically from 3 on up) for different G50 models. Since I don't know which cars came with a G50/20 versus a G50/21, I am stumped. Can some of you enlighten me on which /XX came with which US model over this range of models? Oops - I meant to post this on the 964/993 forum. Last edited by Walt Fricke; 12-08-2014 at 06:06 PM.. Reason: being stupid |

Walt,
California Motorsports has very complete ratio lists on their website, including tooth counts. Though I think Bill covers them all. |
