Weber Throttle plate noise
Hey guys hoping anyone out there can help. Recently replaced the diagrams on my accelerator pumps on both Weber IDT carbs due to leaking. The car has been running great and holding idle really well. I’ve just began to notice to hear a clicking/ticking noise which appears to be coming from one of the throttle plates. How can I address this ?

It might be spitting, which means that barrel is too lean. Does a bit of fuel literally spit out? Turn the mixture screw 1/8 turn CCW. If it stumbles on that cylinder you are too lean.
Did you go through the best lean procedure after the jet pump rebuild?

bushing
Check the shaft for play. the Weber 40s have teflon bushings at each end.....when worn, the shaft will have play and make contact with the housing and tick,,,,,can be heard at idle.
