I am thinking about getting a copy of Vol. 1&2 as well from this guy -- could you post an update when you actually receive the manuals? thanks

The manuals from the private seller were in like-new condition.

The manuals from Route 66 were very used, with a number of pages torn out from the four ring binder, and the binders themselves cracked and warped. I have no way of telling if they are complete, have all the supplements, etc. Not that I'm complaining--none of the other places I found had them at all and I'm VERY glad to have found a set.

FWIW, the manuals are by far the best shop manuals I've seen for any car. I especially appreciate that they suggest which gear ratios to use for the Nurburgring, hillclimbing and airport races. I'm sure that information will come in useful someday soon. :D
