European parking lights

Hey guys

My car has euro lights but somebody moved the parking lights to the turn signals. I'm trying to move them back but I seem to be missing the part that holds the parking light bulb in place.

The white thing there with the male connector. Does anybody know where I can get it?

What holds the Euro bulb in your picture in place is that metal clip. Your post is unclear, or I am getting more dense. Are you asking where you can buy the clip or the Euro bulb holder with the male end?

Typically parking lights are near or in the bumpers, while Euro lights are in the headlight assemblies. Maybe if you use your terms like I describe them your question will be more clear.

Interesting. What happens when you leave the indicator stalk down when parked, does the turn signal light remain on ?

Is this clear enough?

I need the white light socket there.

So is that just a plug, instead of the lightbulb holder?

Here's my thread on the city lights: H4 Headlight upgrade, from sugar scoops

I think you are just missing that plug part ? Doesn't our host have the complete Euro H4 headlamp assemblies ? I know its a pricey part but its not likely to be common here

I would try one of the euro sites classifieds : DDK or Impact Bumpers

That light socket there seems to be a common European one. Should be available as a spare part, maybe on German evilbay?

How about trying this socket. It sure looks like a 15 mm standard socket for single filament light bulbs. Here is one at Amazon that could be modified by cutting the ears short and putting a quick connect 1/4 inch spade connector on the wire:

No guarantees it is correct, but for $3 each why not give it a try? Bulbs for it are listed below it when on the page.

Actually I think the VW bulb socket is one for instrument lights and has a smaller diameter. I can see the difference when comparing the spade lug. I also read somewhere that VW uses those type of bulb sockets on their instruments.

Your terminology is incorrect. What you're showing there is a city light. Most likely the PO moved the city light to the parking light, as they are both 4 watt bulbs. Actually, I just looked and the bulbs are not the same. The city light is 4 watts, but the parking bulb is a higher wattage.

The P/N for the city light is 90063110390

From the city light post, here is what the socket looks like:

If you want the harness to run both the city light and parking light you have to make a little pigtail that is shown in those pictures

Here are a couple of pics of the socket in an H1 light:
