Please Help Me Identify This Connector
I'm in the process of replacing the carpeting in my 86 ROW Carrera and discovered this connector under the passenger seat. It was covered by the oval piece of rubber on the right and had the number 9628 on the bottom along with eight numbered connection points. Thanks in advance to anyone who can identify it for me.

Thanks, Cashman. That was my guess but I was thrown off by the wiring going to the driver's power seat, which is different.

I think that the factory may have wired the driver & passenger side differently because it is common for the passenger seat to have fewer options than the driver side (i.e., driver side could be 8-way power, passenger side could be 4-way power).
I don't know this for a fact but when I added 964 power seats to my '74, I had to find a wire harness and when I got it, the passenger side had less pins. Fortunately, it had the correct pins for my application. Look at the seats in this guy's thread. You will see different controls for passenger vs. Driver side (driver side also has the heated option). 1986 3.2 Carrera - My entry into Porsche ownership Last edited by Tidybuoy; 01-11-2015 at 11:29 AM.. |

Thanks, Vern. When taking the driver's seat out today, I quickly recognized the same plug under the seat.
