Source for engine shelf
As I am planning on doing the chain tensioner update this winter, I need to remove the engine shelf tin. I noticed the other day that one of the pieces is rusted through. I'd like to replace it when putting everything back together, but I can't a find a place that sells the engine shelf.
Has anyone replaced this? If so, did you buy the pieces or have them made? Thanks.

I have access to a very talented welder/heliarc expert. He patched up my tin. Afterward I carefully ground the upper surface weld(the area you can see when the lid is opened), and took it to a local zinc plater. They threw it into a a batch of items they were already processing. When I got it back from them I painted it up with a little zinc chromate primer and painted it black.
It looks great. Good luck, David Duffield |

Or, you could try www.partsheaven.com in Hayward, CA. They are the reigning source for used Porsche particles...
