WOT switch cable

I'm trying to remove the WOT switch cable but it doesn't want to come off. I'm sure this is fairly simple but I don't want to damage the cable. Is there a trick to it?

Thanks.

IIRC, twist a quarter turn.

It doesn't look like a "twist" type of plug? It has a metal clip around it (86 Carrera) and is square? I'm sure it's simple but first time removing one of these.

Picture would help.
Pry the clip out a bit and pull?

Here's the picture. Not sure if that clip does too much as its on the body of the connector.

Yes.... You need to pop that metal clip off 1st. With a pick, or small screwdriver.

I thought you meant remove cable from TB bracket.

No problem. Got the plug out and verified my WOT switch is working ok. The switch is mounted almost right towards the back of the top bracket and, after reading some posts, I wanted to make sure it was working. A multimeter with a continuity tone makes it easy!

I'm pretty sure you don't need to remove that paper clip thing.
I ran into this when removing the footwell blowers

You can just wiggle the plug off with the clip in place.
I think the clip only prevents you from pulling it straight off.
When you wiggle, one side clears the tab, and then you do the other side.

I'll give that a try. Putting the spring clip back on wasn't the easiest.
