Need advice on 2.7 911 Engine issue -vid

I have a 75 911 2.7 that was rebuilt less than 500 miles ago (prob more like 200 miles)
It has not been driven much at all and the rebuild is probably 5 years old or more.
It starts and runs but it is smoking--although it runs good.
No noise, not valve grind and the smoke isn't really blue Oil smoke.

Please see video and let me know any advice---Maybe rings, or Fuel distributor...

Thanks all

If you put a paper towel behind the tailpipe does it get saturated? Have you taken it out for a long extended drive? Sometimes if they sit for a long time they will wet sump and smoke for 10-20 miles.

It looks as if it has oil in the sump and the oil has seeped past the rings, especially if it has been sitting for a while. I agree that giving it a good, brisk run for 20 minutes should clear it up just fine.

Try that and let us know what happens. Mine does the same thing if it has been sitting long enough, i.e. a month.

It gets worse when I hit the pedal

THanks
I;ll report back

When you say you let it run for 1/2 hour, what do you mean? Was it just sitting there idling? Run it hard on the road, because just idling won't do a good job of clearing the engine - unless there is something else that's wrong here.

When I had my car apart for suspension work, it had sat for a year and a half and when I finally was able to drive it, it looked like I was fogging the neighborhood for mosquitoes! It took a long time to burn it all off, I was worried just as you are, but all was good, besides my embarrassment.

Maybe this is old school, but was it run to seat the rings in the beginning? If not, you might try that, where you jam it hard in 2nd or 3rd gear & let off hard in between. Supposedly you can get the rings to seat by doing that maybe 10 times & then driving it a hundred miles or so. Could be too late with 200 to 500 miles on it, if that's the problem.

Well--bad news--I got the car out today and whne I tried to start it.. well, I heard some REALLY BAD sounds.. like Valves maybe hitting a piston or rattling around in the head.. sounds bad...
Going to be a long summer
Funny when I parked it last week, it was running well, just smoking..
Anyway--thanks for all the advice

Will the car idle in its current state? Can you listen more closely with a tube up to your ear on where the noise originates?

Could have been a valve train assembly error, broken rocker, or failed tensioner.

How old was the gas in the car? Did it have a stabilizer added during storage?

I've had a situation where a valve got bound up in the guide. Seemed to have gotten stuck. Sounded awful & made a loud metallic whacking sound as the engine idled & stopped after a few seconds. As best I could figure out the valve got stuck open on the down stroke and the piston was whacking it & knocking it back up. No broken or weak spring or anything like that. I asked a Porsche mechanic about it & he said to treat the gasoline with Marvel Oil help to lubricate the guides. This could be a possibility for yours since it has sat for so long. Might help to take off the valve covers & look for the problem and squirt some oil on the valve stems to try to get it to seep into the guides.

It is probably just oil in your headers. When I put used headers on one of my cars it did ths. The oil seeps past the rings and into the exhaust if you ave an open exhaust valve.

Put your purse down and run it. You need to get the exhaust hot and idling won't do it.

It will not start or idle-- the sound is LOUD
(it will fire)
I may pull the valve covers and see what I can,
I would not run it with this noise..it's really loud and "scary"
