Anyone's 3.0 run better with cat?

Could be the warm weather or my imagination, but since I removed the mk bypass and installed the cat in preparation for smog this week, the motor seems livelier. Could it be true?

Flow restriction could give you more torque at the low end on the butt-dyno?

Just a guess...

Certainly feels like it has more pickup at the bottom but doesn't kick in at 4k or so as usual. Btw, 964 cams; otherwise, stock. Didn't think it would make much difference but for weight.

Then again, that massive 3.0 cat may not be as restrictive as the smaller MK bypass after all.
