I haven't tried to explain this one to the wife, yet (I don't even know if the rules allow her to come along). But I've searched my brain, and I can't come up with any good reason not to do it:
![]() Spring Mountain, Willow Springs, Streets of Willow, Buttonwillow, Thunderhill, Sears Point, and Las Vegas Motor Speedway. All in the space of one week. All in one car, with no tow vehicle allowed (in the touring class, at least). It's a 911 event if ever there was one. ![]() It sounds foolhardy, exhausting, punishing (for both me and the car) and it'll set me back $1750. But, wow... Anyone else interested? ****************************** ******** More Information ![]() My Rennlist home page ![]() ![]() (I have no affiliation, etc. Heck, I don't even know if they'll let me in.) If I was able to legally drive a foreign-registered, RHD 911 on California/Nevada roads, and if I could afford the freight and the entry fee ($3400 AUS!), and if I was deemed eligible, I'd sign up!

Ooooooh, that looks like fun.
I can't imagine any reason why not (ahem). It makes me want to be a wealthy gad-about even more than usual. ------------------ Cameron Baudinet 1975 911S (in bits) 1969 911T |

Jack, thats funny you posted that. Me and a buddy are going to run mine in unlimited class two. We are using my car and his truck and trailer. I wanted to run touring two but he's a wimp. FYI you have to have two drivers. see if you can get Tyson to come down and we can all make the trip together,,,,
One other thing, it's gonna be a crazy month because Tour de Cambria 2002 is a couple weeks before this event. The P-car is going to get a lot of miles in the month of May. Michael Marshall [This message has been edited by MMARSH (edited 09-24-2001).] |

Have the dates been announced for Cambria yet?
Mike, Tyson as a co-driver (and mechanic) is a great idea. We'll see if he's up for seven days and 1400 miles with me in a 911 packed full of tools and spares. ------------------ Jack Olsen My Rennlist page • My Pelican Gallery page • My Porsche Owners Gallery page |

Jack, I'm pretty sure the dates for Cambria are set for May 3- May 5. Any R-gruppe guys wanna confirm this. Paul, either Randy?

Jack, I'm so jealous I may have to join the fun! Tyson better join you - he has already promised to go to Cambria next year, and I know he had a blast with you at Willows. Michael, as far as I know May 3-5 is still when the R Gruppe meets in Cambria, but Cris has not published this as yet.

Oh yeah, I'm so there! My boss already gave me the green light on taking the time off. I think he knew he had to or he risked losing an employee.
![]() I'm also now signed up to do Laguna Seca on December 15th and 16th. Driving the C2 down to race with Jack again. This is going to be a good year! ------------------ Tyson Schmidt 72 911 Cabriolet 92 C-2 Cabriolet |
