alfizzo,
No, tell us how you really feel.
Isn't "free trade" great? A friend with a machine shop was saying that he quoted a job and found out he couldn't get the materials alone for the price of the completed product made in China.

China must be doing really well right now.

An English shoe manufacturer yesterday announced that it is moving it's production of "Doctor Martens" boots to China, losing 1200 jobs here in Blighty.

Hey Alf,

Please stop yelling (USING ALL CAPS). It makes my eyes hurt.

Another thing that I notice about byeing chinese stuff is that it breaks the first time you use it. Very economic. Sorry about the spelling.

sorry about the caps lock. i use it for work. it makes writting emails easier. iam in the electroplating business and the whole insudtry is getting slautered from china. this whole stock market slump is just a wake up call for things to come. some of my customers are division of multi national companys that are on the verge of shutting the doors. i was plating electronics machined components from missile parts, cell phone rf filter, hermetic packages to any machined components. scary **** when motorola is canceling orders. my buddy keeped nagging me to plate his motorcycle parts. i never even considered this before but its going to been a long winter with business being so slow. my process for aluminum was set up for electronics which offers far better plating for aluminum motorcycle parts than the current process of other platers that specialize in chrome palting. that sad part is that a complete machined billet aluminum 6061 motorcycle parts comes complete from china and retails cheaper that i can chrome it. however i will be able to refinish orginal parts..........
