Need a top end rebuild should I go 3.2?
I have 182K miles on a 3.0L and am looking at a set of worn value guides. Should I upgrade to a 3.2 or just leave it alone? How much is the difference price wise and HP? I was quoted $3500 for a rebuild on the 3.0 top end and 180hp (200 with my SSIs) and $10K for a 3.2 topend and 210hp or for the full fun factor $16K for a 3.6 and 300+hp.
That sound right? What are the advantages for that extra money on the 3.2 @ $6.5K if there are any? |

There was a good discussion on 3.2 upgrades over on Rennlist, here:
http://forums.rennlist.com/forums/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=004403 The 3.2 P&C's alone are ~$3500. A 3.6 swap would be about the same money as a properly done 3.2 conversion. Tom |

915 considerations
. . . and less than a properly done 3.6 conversion.
Porsche used a stonger box even the early turbos. (they put out less than a 3.6)

Yes, my son. Follow the light....3.2.
With some intensive therapy (and some power windows) we will have you cured of that SC thing in no time.
