they look like my 74 911 ones, but black instead of chrome, do they make these in black?

Here is the genuine left one from our host.
Pelican Parts - Product Information: 911-731-013-07-M100

I could only find chrome. You'd have to either watch the classifieds, go to some swap meets, or paint a chrome one.

Also, I noticed that the catalog only displays parts for your year of car. I understand why Pelican would do that, but some of us like to modify their car and want to see all options for a particular year range of 911's.

So I now know to ignore the badgering from the catalog asking me for what year, make and model I have.

Years ago I bought these mirrors in black, can't remember if they were from pelican or not. Two years after, give or take, the paint started coming off. I ended up painting them myself after which is still holding up 8 years later.

Jim Patrick's grey RSR has dealer supplied chrome 1973 mirrors, painted black.

The blue IROC RSR has the larger 74 factory mirror. It may still be available in black from the dealer as well

And you can buy them directly from Porsche for less than any other vendor... at least I have not been able to find them for less... I am also looking at the same mirrors... not sure if chrome or black, still trying to decide...

Zims, that's where I bought them. If you buy them I hope they are better than when I bought them.

Poor quality? If so, I rather get the original Porsche unit for a few bucks more and get them painted... if I decide to go with black instead of chrome...

It was the paint for me, but that was about 10 years ago when I bought them. Right out of the box I could tell they would have issues, maybe they changed how they paint them now.
