911 intermittent wiper problem
There seem to be some good threads on wiper issues but I can't find any info on my problem... I have a 92 964 but the wiper setup looks the same as 3.2 carreras. My intermittent function does not pause the wipers except when the knob is turned all the way to the right - in which case I get about a 1/2 second pause, never the several second pause that should happen. If I disconnect the rheostat they stop. So I purchased a new rheostat from Porsche and installed it, same thing. Any ideas? I guess it has to be in the wiper motor but I sure would like to hear about a different solution.
Thanks! |

In addition to the rheostat, my 3.2 has a control relay. I think it is far more likely that the relay is bad than the motor.
