Source for gas tank gasket
I'm having a new suspension pan and gas tank support (which I'm buying in kit form from Wayne) welded into my car this winter. I've heard that it's also a good idea to replace the gas tank gasket. It doesn't appear that Pelican sells a gas tank gasket - does anyone know where I could find one?
Thanks.

Yep. I went to my local P-dealer thinking that the gas tank gasket was something special, made by little Alpine ladies in a far off part of the world. The damn thing cost me over thirty bucks!!!!
All it is, is the adhesive backed foam strips that any Home Depot sells for $5.00. About one-half or so wide and about ten feet worth or the circumference of the tank. I believe all it does is to keep the moisture out. Bob |
