Spent 6 hrs yesterday cleaning, clay bar, buff, wax..... Got the itch real bad today but resisted. Salt not much of a concern since its rained and most of the snow has melted, Potholes are the big deterrent for me. Roads are horrible here.

Dusted mine off and took it out for the first couple drives yesterday after a lot of rain last week.

Now I see we are getting more snow(salt) on Thursday.

Still in storage. Local forecast calls for showers over the next few days. Giddy up!

Welcome to Pelican Ben!

The roads are pretty clean here in Mid-Michigan but the SC is still up on stands. I still have a couple small things I want to get done as well as the annual oil change. I'll probably finish it up this weekend.

Wayne: Thank you for the welcome! I see that we don't live too far from each other. And yes, the dry roads and shining sun make it so tempting to go for a cruise right now. My car is currently in a warehouse behind Schulers bookstore in GR, waiting for new tires before my first proper drive. So geeked to learn more about my "new" car. I may call on you for advice. This place is awesome!

Well this is an itch I can't scratch yet.
Here in the northeast its been snowing every other night with the temps falling into the 20's at night. Salt is going down on the roads seems like every morning. So at this rate I won't have Elenorne on the road until May.....

You guys in Nebraska with your 80° days send them this way please....

We've had some rain in the past week, and all the snow is gone. Put a new battery in today and the car started right up. It burned a bit of oil due to sitting all winter so I took it for a spirited drive. All is good.

Rough winter here in NW PA. Won't take it out for another 3 weeks or so.
BTW: I'm thinking about disconnecting the coil and cranking the engine before I start it to coat the internals with oil as it hasn't been run since November. Does anyone else do that or doesn't it matter?

I'm going to do the oil change today and drive it a bit.

jlex--I don't do that but it won't hurt anything to do so. Might even be a good practice to start doing it for those that put their cars away for months at a time.

What is this "storage" thing of which you speak?

Living in Western Oregon where we don't salt the roads, I get to drive my car year around. It's a wonderful thing!

Yeah, but the advantage is you feel like you have a new car every Spring. Heck, I can't even remember how to operate the radio when I haven't driven it for six months!

So I'm curious: are you guys in the Midwest driving or still waiting?
I've got the itch bad......but mine are staying put until the streets are clear.
It's suppose to rain here thursday night. Hopefully the all clear sign will be here this weekend!
