Flipped...........

That car is too valuable to not fix! It might take years to find all of the body parts but someone will do it!

Unfortunate accident. I'm hoping the driver and/or any passengers are okay. High speed is dangerous and should only be done by competent, seasoned drivers. Wet roads add another element of safety risk. Too many people these days are taking too many risks in Porsche's. Please be careful out there. Drive have fun, but arrive alive!

High speeds, inexperienced drivers, public roads, wet weather, extreme performance vehicle.... any combination there of, in any order does not often yield a good result.

Hope they were unhurt, hope they didn't involve anyone else in their thoughtlessness.

Fuglyest porsche ever made.

No great loss. Dated look which appears to have been more of a design study back in the 80's along with padded shoulders and big hair. A bit over engineered, fat ugly hips and a stance which just doesn't quite look right.

That's what I told Sandro! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess!

Newsflash....all old Porsche's are dated in one way or another. Timeless beauty is in eye of the beholder. May not be a great loss to you but I'm sure the owner of the vehicle doesn't feel the same way...

Interesting article in that the fate of the driver is not mentioned. The car can be fixed.

Thought my comment would get some of you going. Get over it. This is what 914 advocates have had to put up with for forty years. But you must admit, if the 959 was so good why didn't it ever go into mass production. Even Porsche realised it was just too over the top. And that's not taking away from it achievements. It was just too 80's and just too expensive.

It was never meant for mass production, in fact Porsche didn't make any money on the sales of the car. It was over the the top but that was the intention. It was basically a limited run test bed for things to come. May not be your cup of tea but look up the current prices...they sure have escalated. As far as 914's are concerned, even they are rising in prices. Truth be told I could care less of a 914 years ago, as of late I can see myself owning one....especially with the flared fenders. Would be a cool car to have.
