Alignment gone bad

I replaced all the bushings, TB's, ball joints and shocks on the car over the last couple weekends. To wrap it up, I took the car over to the dealer for a 4-wheel alignment and they called today to apologize and told me they broke the car. I drove straight over and found this:

According to the service rep, the car started rolling off the lift and the tech grabbed the window to stop it. They have taken responsibility to make it right but could not find a new frame in the system (NLA). I told them to check dcauto. We'll see how it goes. Sad day.

Damn, who doesn't place a chock on a lift with the car up there!? That doesn't bode well for the rest of the work.....

Sounds like it could have been a lot worse.

Find out what years that frame is on.
Then look at the cars being parted out in the parts for sale forum.

workshop service

Patrick, this what i would do if it was my car.If the alignment was complete ok
pay the bill,-Now the accident, get in writing that the dealership will pay for any parts
required to replace the Porsche back to the way it was originally.Tell the dealership you are sorry that this has happened ,and you you are going to replace the broken window area your self,or a friend that is an expert at repairing inside door repairs.there is a reason
for this, your Porsche is better at home in your garage then in theres, and you will know
if you do the job, which im not sure if you can, at least get some one that does know.
example-- they could attempt to do the repair and break something else inside door
glass as example --regards, Wayne.

compensation

Tell them that you are going to need a 2015 Carrera as a loaner. Or you will not be whole and will need advice of counsel.
