Used CV joints...maintain orientation?
I'm cleaning my CV joint for reuse, if they're good. Should I put them back in the same orientation I took them out of, or flip them over, or even switch sides? Thanks.

Never mind. They're spalling. Off to the parts catalog.

For anyone that comes across this thread, do not flip them. I inadvertently flipped one side and it took me several days to figure out where the click-click-click was coming from.

Flipped mine to eliminate click, click, click. Worked great. Granted it didn't "fix" anything.…

I pulled mine....disassembled...cleaned...put them together incorrectly...pulled them back apart...put them together again, correctly and no clicking. During the cleaning process I got all the parts jumbled up so I have no idea if they even got put back as a matching joint. 92k on the shafts
