Securing a Size H6/Group 48 battery in a Size H8/Group 49 space...
Upon recommendations from others I went with a shorter H6/size 48 battery. Instead of the honkin big H8/group 49 size battery my 89 911 calls for.
But now its just laying there, unsecured. Any ideas on how to secure this battery so it won't go flying around up front?

My 84 has two holes for attaching the battery clamp. If your does not have two holes, maybe you can make a hold down clamp from a piece of aluminum or steel. Just a 2-3" bar with a hole in it should work.
Good luck, Dave

My '80 also has two threaded holes for the clamp screw. I put in a shorter battery and used shorter hole - it was a bit tight (maybe because I put in an acid neutralizing pad under battery) - but it does fit.

I have a group 48 in my '75 and there are two mounting holes in that tray as well. It fit/clamped in no problems.
