Help ID'ing 6 cyl Distributors (w/4cyl drive tangs)?

OK - the drive tang looks like a good old Porsche or VW flat 4 drive tang (also used on NSU 4cyls, btw).

However, the cap and points cam are both 6 cyl. Any idea what these are off of?

Yes, I hope someone says "Those are from the Porsche 6 cyl prototype engines for the 901" Heh. I expect someone just put them together or something??

They are probably old Mercedes-Benz distributors.

You're right. Silly I didn't google the part number before, but I'm surprised its such a cross between Porsche 4 and 6 cyl designs!

Yeap, we use the same Shim sets. But 911's have the odd ball 25.75MM shim that disintegrates over use and time. Gary has a better than OEM replaced Brass Thrust Washer to replace that odd ball size.
