Seeking opinion on MK muffler

I' m looking for a bit more noise - and maybe slightly better response - from my stock 74 S.
I thought about ditching the muffler for some megaphone exhausts or these :

M&K Exhaust Stainless Track Muffler Set that our host sells...

Any experiences with this product ?

Those mufflers will give you ALOT more noise. I had a pair for a while. Suitable for the track only, IMHO.

I have an 2 in/2 out M&K GT3 muffler and Euro pre-muffler. They are very well made; the muffler is light, around 14-15 lbs. While they drone up to 3000 rpm (all 2 outs will do that), once above 3000, literally at 3001, there is this fantastic deep rumble.

We call them Track Mufflers for a reason, ha! They are very loud. You might try our 911S or 911R muffler with your '74, very sporty!

I went to a classified purchase M&K after running burns long header cans for a few years. ive been very happy with the 2 in 2 out, not sure what model it is, but it does as im told make a very, very unique exhaust note. more than one person has stated my car sounds different that any other spec racer out here. from the burns cans, no dyno data to back,,, but it seems to have a ton more low end as expected after going away from the cans. what was nice about the M&K was the fact it seems to have lost nothing in the high revs where you might think the cans would rule.

I like mine, they pretty too.

Brian, what is the pipe diameter and length on the 911R and 911 Sport mufflers. This would be for my 72 911T. Thanks.

I have the M&K 2 in 1 out on my hot 2.7 and it's loud, very loud. A 30 minute trip on the freeway is considered a long trip...

Stock '87 running a M&K premuffler with an M&K 1 in 1 out sounds great. I wouldn't want it any louder or quieter.

Plenty of info on the boards in regards to mufflers, its probably one the most talked about subjects.

I have a two in two out running on early SSI type on my 79 SC. All they say about being loud and drone is very true.... BUT i had Rarlyl8 ship me an end cap which I had mounted by my local mechanic with a bolt nut setup (spot welded nut, bolt through pipe). Now i have a loud but not obnoxious set up with no drone. When I want to rip it up, just remove cap and fly. Thanks Rarllyl8. Btw outs are 2.5"

Love it

I have a Gen 3 M+K 2 in 1 out with SSIs on my 81 SC. Nothing sounds better at acceleration. No drone, but if I drove my car a lot, I'd want it quieter.
