'70 T wayward wire. Where does it connect?

I recently had the car in the shop for some work. When I got it back, I noticed this loose wire (taped to the roof of the hood.) I assume it's for the trunk lights since they're no longer working, but I can't see where it connects. Anyone?

Likely, check with a meter to see if it is live. Front lid has a plunger to lead to ground. Rear lid usually has a switch. Great source for battery drain.

Since Lasik, I can't see for crap in the dark so I always have flashlight

There is a wire clip on the front edge of your hinge. The wire goes in that clip and then directly underneath should be a mating connector.

This is common to disconnect the hood light if the hood is left open for long periods of time to avoid battery drain. At least they neatly taped it out of the way from being pinched in the exterior seam when closed.
