Alarm Control unit - Behind blower fan??!!

1984 Targa.

Do I have to remove the blower fan and the plenum to get to my Alarm Control unit??

I just need a sanity check before tearing this stuff out.

Yep it's right under the blower fan and plenum it sits in. I've removed it a couple of times. Mine's an SC but I don't think the Carerra's are different are they?

Yes you do.

Why do you need access to the alarm module?

Are you removing the alarm module? If yes you need to do a couple of jumper.

I'll post the link once I find it again... or not if Gerry beat me to it

Yup. Alarm woes.

Gerry, between you, Ingo and Sal, I am getting close. Car died after some odd alarm behavior. I am making the jumpers as we speak.

Do I have to do both?

Well that was just a waste of time. Still no start.

Are my jumpers OK? Or should I try again with Spade Connectors? I only had ring connectors which I jammed in.

Connectors.

Spade connectors would be much better.
What is the P/N on the unit?

Gerry, Part number is 911.637.104.02

Am I supposed to leave the other plug with the red and red/white wire plugged in?

It might not matter but I would unplug it and try it again.

Hard to say as both jumper are the same color and the photo does not show the path.
