rescue project question

I am installing a 79 engine in an 84 911 in an attempt to bring this stripped down roller back to life. I have the engine essentially complete and rebulit with refreshed CIS, distributor, and alternator.

I have a oil reservoir that came with the car, not sure its correct for the year or not. but now I am faced with mating the engine and reservoir oil ports and am unsure of what to do. I purchased new " S Hose' and oil breather hose from our host, along with new gaskets and the bottom drain plug for the reservoir. but near the bottom on the face towards the engine and the front of the car, there is a protruding outlet from the oil reservoir that is a male treaded part. Can anyone instruct me on what this connection is supposed to attached to? is it for a turbo? for the non-existant front oil cooler that I dont have on this car? or something else?

ANy help is GREATLY appreciaed!

JIM
