Struts ?

What is the easiest way to see if I have Bilstein or Boge struts in my 84 Carrera ?

As a rule of thumb Bilstein would be green and Bodge would be black.

look at the bottom of the strut, bilsteins have a roll pin to hold the insert in, where boge use a threaded collar at the top

I think my Boge housings have Boge stamped in the housing. I'd have to look but IIRC it is stamped.

My front Boge had Boge stamped near the bottom of the strut, facing the caliper.

I need to ID my 911 SC front struts. The two photos on the left side are from my car. The photo on the right is from PP article about shock replacements. The article says that Bilstein type front struts can be identified by roll pin and color. My struts dont have roll pins and are painter black (on red primer) so the are Boge, am I right? Is there any other possibilities?

Also, if you had Bilsteins, you would have the "474" option code on the sticker under the front hood.
