Porsche Specialists in California
Hi Guys,
I plan to attend the Rennsport reunion @ Laguna Seca at the end of September. I will be flying into LAX and will then will drive up to Monterey. What Porsche specialists are worth stopping by? I know of TRE in Van Nuys. CPR in Fallbrook ? Any others? Thanks Derek |

You are going to the right place (So Cal). Not sure of all of them in LA but Orange County has dozens, including Porsche Motorsport North America (across the street from GMG). Costa Mesa alone has about 6 within a few blocks (Lit Show weekend). Stop by TLG in NoHo, John Esposito's right next door. Wilhoit's is in Long Beach I believe but that would be south of LAX as is the OC.

Though it's not Porsche specific, a drive up to Canepa in Scott's Valley is a worthwhile side trip from Monterey. About an hour's drive north of Monterey.

They've historically been more of a water cooled shop, but doing more and more air cooled work - the owner and chassis guy used to race and both own/have owned g series, 964, 993 air cooled cars. All for general maintenance and performance builds/maintenance. |
