Doug,
Will PM with my E-mail. My car is almost ready. Last few parts should be in this week making it possible for me to make the run (fingers crossed that I don't find any more got-ya's as I piece things back together). Put my first coat of satin black on my rims tonight, should have them done tomorrow. Sand blasted the calipers, painting tomorrow. Should have the rebuild kit, rotors, brake lines and power bleed in tomorrow to wrap the job up. Magnecore wires are installed. Just a matter of when the parts get in and how much time I have this week in order to make next week's run. Hope to make it. Keep me on the list, I may be there. Hopefully will get weather like this weekend... Congratulations on the new member! Gordo

I'm planning on joining you. I have the driver's side axle off to repack the CV's this week. Of course, on the very last bolt I was breaking loose, it stripped the head! Several hours with the Dremel tool later I had the axle off! Now, I can hopefully get that bolt out! I should be able to get the axle back on Sat and join you guys Sunday.

Just got home from work and found 9 PM's/e-mails waiting for me. Organizing these things could turn into a full time job!
OK, for those who are keeping track here are today's additions to the participant list: Pelican Members: David L Shane O scphelps1 kstylianos gordo2 patalive 87turbolook911 and drumroll please, Porshin (hopefully) all the way from near Lynchburg VA. Non-Pelican Members: William T As of now this makes 30 cars! At this rate we will have a better turn-out then most car shows ![]() I will be sending the e-mail to everyone later tonight (please bear with me as I am getting ready to put my kids to bed). Ryan - hope you guys have a good run yourself. Imagine if one day we are able to simulcast our runs together.

Geeezzz with this many maybe we ought to have a Tech Inspection on Saturday. One false brake and we could have a bona fide California chain reaction.
Great job Doug. You do need a secretary.

Random thoughts:
Whoever has the best radar detector needs to lead. I'm kinda bummed that my sunroof recently got stuck closed. Now I finally have a digital camera and can't stick it out my sunroof. That's ok - I haven't figured out how to shrink and then upload photos. I wouldn't mind if it's a little cloudy out on Sunday since I have just installed H4's and relays (thanks Marc). My headlights kick a$s now. PORSCHIN gets the trooper award for coming all the way from zip code E-I-E-I-O.

OK everyone, the distribution e-mail has been sent with meeting location and route specifics.
One thing I forgot to mention is that with the driving distance being right around 200 miles and assuming a 30 minute break or so I estimate the time from start to end to be around 4 hours. But .... with this many cars who knows for sure! Jim - I honestly don't know how to handle this many cars (I never thought we'd have this kind of turnout) so my first thought is to let everyone kinda settle into their own smaller groups once we hit the road. Maybe we all could pick a "wing man" so to speak so that way we always ensure we'll never be on the road alone. Anybody else have on thoughts on how to handle this many cars?

FWIW
Hey Doug, have you tried the Motorola Talkabout radios? Jack O brought some at our last run and they worked so great at communicating between front, back and middle that I bought some for this and future runs. The cheap ones have a two mile range. They’re the only way to keep big groups together without loosing anyone or going really slow, IMO.

I'm sooo close
Folks,
I'm close to ready. Rebuilt calipers, painted rotor hubs and installed everything today. Need to flush the fluid, bleed and run it for a while to get a feel for the job, re-check for brake fluid leaks and I should be good to go. Hope to get some decent weather this week. Looks like a pre-run is the only thing that may preclude my participation. Don't want my first check ride to be a 200 mile run... Hate to be a fair weather driver but I'm afraid my Targa top will leak like a spaghetti strainer. May be another no-go criteria. I have a set of Motorola hand held's I can bring. Looking forward to it. Thanks for the info Doug, Gordo

Gordo, I hope you can make it. If you're worried about your targa top leaking, I've got an umbrella you can borrow.
![]() Clayton, Rob, it'll be good to see you y'all again. It's quite a run up here from the far reaches of WeVA. Let's hope Mother Nature cooperates with us.

Jim, I couldn't agree with you more about the weather! Rain + Turbo doesn't equal much fun! I also am looking forward to seeing you, as well as Rich and Rob again. I will be repacking the CV's tonight and hope that the bolt will come out alright. Then put the axle back and off we go!

Oh I disagree. Rain + turbo can be lots of fun. I guess it depends what you're into. Boost in 2nd gear = extremely unsafe burnouts at 70 mph without inflicting much damage on your tires. Not that I'd try something as stupid as that...

Doug,
I can bring another pair of Motorola radios - they should help keep the pack together, and usually provide some classic one-liners ![]()
