World's best DD. No garage so it's rough and ready all the time!

Because you are in the land down under, and to us, thats upside down. It's a feature of the forum. Wayne worked hard on it!

Best daily driver EVER! Used for everything from going to work to hauling building materials, sports equipment (years of coaching), band instruments, you name it. And even though I am fortunate enough to drive it everyday, I still am quick to volunteer to go the store for that last minute ingredient, just for another excuse to get in it and go (my wife just thinks I am a great guy... don't tell her my secret ).

Primarily my car was used as a DE toy and now that it is just about done with the restoration, I plan on driving my car more just to drive it around. During the winter, my wife and I would use my car to hide the kids Christmas gifts. We knew that the kids would not pull the cover off my car in the garage and go rummaging through it sneaking around trying to find out what Santa is bringing them.

The more I drive it the better it goes. I tend to drive it here there and everywhere for a few days then not touch it for a week.

As often as possiblehttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1440920619.jpg

In summer I'm opposite man; 911 during weekdays for everything and truck on weekends for lake/boat haul duty. In the winter maily truck but the car still gets out on nice days (relative term).

I hate to admit it, but this year it has become the garage queen of all time and, unfortunately, not in my garage, rather the mechanic's!! I'll bet I haven't put 25 miles on it all summer. That just shouldn't be. But I've bored you incessantly about my alternator/Voltage regulator woes. I think we've fixed them now and the mechanic is on to a couple of other "must dos". :(

Mine now;
75% AutoX 25% DE 25% Grocery getter From 1978 to 2008 DD... |
I've owned mine for 12+ years
Nice weather cruises and weekend fun car. I compete in as many Autocrosses as possible during the Summer months with my son co-driving.

1969 911E Daily driver 3-4 times per week seasonal dependent here in DC.
Also, when too hot I weaken and drive the Range Rover for better A/C http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1440957896.jpg |
I find I do less driving and more tinkering with it than anything.
|
Mine did duty as #4 for a few years and now as weekend/fun car - country drives and some trips. My commute to work is very short and I don't even get the oil near warm - no point in driving it like that. I will drive to work once in while when I know I get to take it out on a decent drive afterward.

Daily driver and half a dozen or so track days a year for mine, sits outside covered so she is a little rough. A few shots from my trip to the Shot Show in Vegas last January....ran like a champ!!

I drive it only on non-rain/snow days. I've found the car to have absolutely no redeeming qualities in the rain. Interior leaks a bit and I'm just too aggressive in it to have fun driving in the rain/damp roads.

6? Occasional driver ... weekend drives in any weather, car shows & track days

I find this laughable that only 2.56% of us tell the truth!!! :D
