Poll: How do you use your 911?

Three years ago when my little car found me, I expected to be a weekend, sunny day driver. Well, I love driving it so much that it is pretty much my daily driver ... to work, errands, etc. As fun now as the day it arrived, actually more so with all the little 'improvements' (and 211 RWHP!).

So, here's the poll: Is your car a daily driver, occasional driver, or 'garage queen'? Thought this would be a fun one for everyone.

HA! Mine has a Ducati parked next to it too! (I have a feeling my "joke" of a fourth option would pull 25% of the responses if it were actually listed. Life gets in the way of so much fun!

I answered daily driver, because I drive my targa more than just occasionally - but I have a practical car, too, when AC, hauling, or passenger capacity is called for. Like many of us, I also have a second 911 project, which I can't bring myself to call a shelf in my garage - I like to think of it as more a shrine to my ambitions as mechanic and restorer.

Mrs. Noah also finds the 930 tea tray the perfect place to store Costco-size purchases of paper towels and TP.

Yea while I suggested the "Porsche semi permanent garage storage system", I'd hate to assign my car to that category. In reality, it doesn't really fit that definition, but rather a subset: "Porsche movable in the way storage", where the car gets pushed or pulled in and out and around as higher priorities dictate. Sad state of affairs. But life gets in the way.

My car is essentially a retired DE car that now fits into the "occasional driver" category.

5. Fair weather daily driver. When it's not raining heavily or salt on the road, I drive it everywhere to do everything.

One as a garage queen (3.2), but when out...full tank and full throttle

The other any excuse to drive it other then DD, get a gallon of milk, pick up take out, date night...but always get it to full operating temp, clean and cover it.

Both are therapeutic and have let me cut down on my scotch intake

Daily for me. I've tried to keep more "appliance type cars", and use the Porsche as an occasional driver, but I can't put it down. I feel that if I don't drive it, it doesn't exist.

I selected occasional driver, but in reality it usually is employed to keep my jack stands stable.

Daily driver available (although not driven daily since semi retirement) for 3 seasons, and garage stored 1 season.

My wife drives our 911 daily for work and apparently we live in Australia. No idea why that picture posted upside down.
