Question Help with selecting shocks

I need to fit a new pair of front shocks. At this monent I have BOGE and I believe that I can also fit BILSTEIN or KONI without changing the inserts. Which type should select? , which are "the best"?

I like koni adj. I found that the bisteins were to stiff for my 72. I also had them on my saab and changed to koni. Great ride, handling and you can adjust them

Put Konis on that '67 MGB as well (they make a kit to replace the Armstrongs). You'll love them!

I just went though the shock selection process for my '87 Carrera. Went with Bilstein Sports all the way around. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Compared to my old tired Boge inserts the Bilsteins Sports provide both a smoother ride and an incredible firmness.

Many on this board have said to use Bilstein HD in front and Sport in rear but I spoke to Bilstein about this and they are animate that you should use one or the other all the way around. They say that the intial compression of HD and Sport is nearly the same but rebound is much slower (firmer) for Sport. If you mix them and have faster rebound on the front it's like lightening the front of the car.

I also lowered my 911 to 24" rear/24.5" front, corner weighted and put on turbo tie rods. Gave me loads of negative camber. The combination was amazing on the one AX I've run since...and it still rides better than it did on the old Boges.
