Are you sure the sound is from inside the engine? It just seems strange that this happens hours after pulling the engine and fixing the clutch fork. Something loose in the clutch package maybe?
Just saying that the timing suggests it should be interconnected.... Regards, Johan

![]() ![]() Such a proud and so devastatingly fast engine looking like such sad mess right now. At least this will give me a chance to upgrade my oil catch can. ![]() GomezOneill, Puddy, UncleBilly, 911T70, Berk, T77911S. I haven't ruled out a clutch issue, but the sound doesn't seem to be coming from that area. In addition, I had driven over 300 miles the night of the clutch throwout bearing replacement. I would expect that if I was to experience a problem related to that, it would have shown up a bit sooner, but clutch sounds inexpensive so fingers crossed. Either way, the engine has to come out. Maybe a rocker arm shaft loosened up and the rocker is being knocked around. I'd pull the valve covers and spark plugs before anything else.
