LM-2 Quick Install

I have just purchased an LM-2 Air/Fuel ratio meter and needed some suggestions
in making a quick connection to my 86 Carrera in order to make quick Air/Fuel adjustments.

It is a "Permanent Install" piece with the guage and all, but at this point I want to make
some adjustments to the Air/Fuel.

Any advice would be great.

Serge

You need one of these to stick up the tail pipe, make sure car is at operating temps, disconnect O2S and adjust as needed then set your base idle

Our host sells it: Pelican Parts.com - LM-1 Exhaust Clamp

It's listed for the LM-1, but works for both.

I have one and it work fine for driveway tuning, I wouldn't feel comfortable with it holding on for a test drive without some kind of backup attachment.

The clamp didn't work too well for tuning at idle but otherwise it was ok. A bung in the muffler works better.

Disconnect and remove the O2 sensor.
Put the LM-2 O2 sensor in that location, tape the cable to the quarter panel and up over the wheel, and in through the window or sunroof.

you have to make sure that thing is tight or it will come out. i even tried putting a 10mm nut on one side to lock it one.
just check it after it gets hot.
i also keep the cable tight frmo the pipe to the window in case it comes out
