tires- what's needed for 7 & 8 x 15 Fuchs

Hi guys- I'm new to the forum and am restoring a '69 long nose- almost done after doing every nut & bolt- 4 long years. Got a set of 7 & 8 x 15 Fuchs and wondering what tires to put on them. Will appreciate hearing specific sizes needed and brands that have served well. Tires should be for weekend use in warm weather area
( I'm in Charleston, S.C.) - NOT track tires.
Thanks for all recommendations.
Rick Gwinn

p.s. will upload photos soon- car is Ossi blue and really nice!

It's been modified. Well done I think, but put fenders from a '73 on the car- looks like from factory, just nicely flared. Hope they fit!! We'll see!

The only rear fenders from '73 that would allow the use of the usual 8ET10.6 x15 would be from a RS, most use a cosmetically different fender from an SC or '80's Carrera. Hopefully that is what you have.

You best bet is the Toyo RA1 205/55 & 225/50 x15. These are capable track tires but are also capable street tires too.

The dividing line between modern street and track tires can be pretty murky.

Thank you Bill. I'm in PCA zone three here in Charleston, S.C., and am reaching out to some club members for their thoughts and help.
Appreciate the response!
Rick
