So I have my Cd.A now set at 0.725 as advised by the owner of the app. He looked up the 84-89 Widebody 911 and it says 0.725. It bumped the numbers up some but that's not that big of deal.
So here's my 1st run adjusted:
https://network.perfexpert-app.com/results/uaH1vrc6hH
Notice how the 3500 to 4500 RPM area has a slump in torque, I can tell that most likely it can use more ignition in this area.
So I decided to apply my normal real dyno tuning principles on this tune and dialed in the ignition in the 3500 to 5500 RPM area but particularly in the 3500 to 4500 area and then did another run:
Here's Run2:
https://network.perfexpert-app.com/results/wicmMYKZDw
Pay attention to what just occurred in the 3500 to 4500 area that had that slump in torque, now at 3800RPMs I gained 12ftlb up from 175 to 187!
Next I'm going to look at the timing above 5800RPMs as I may have some power on the table in that 5800 to 6800 RPM area as well, we'll see. Then once I'm done I'll put back the full stock setup, stock injectors with stock chip and compare results for Stock vs my Custom injectors and custom chip side by side.

Yes, easy $10 to spend well worth it so far.

Astounding. That's the cost of a small pizza.

Here are results from 2 runs, run1 with initial WOT ignition
run2 optimized ignition below 5200RPMs.
Peak HP stays about the same but the area below 5200RPMs is completely transformed! This is why you can't just look at peak HP numbers.

On a track coming out of a turn tune #2 will simply outshine tune #1.

How close was repeatability on a like to like run? I know you had to have done this.

First thing I did was 3 runs from same exact spot back to back. 2 Runs were withing 2% of each other the other run was off because I had wheel spin, sand in the road! Once I dial in the setup I plan to really test this with multiple runs back to back. But initial results did show the tool was accurate enough for doing before and after compares.

Yet another super nice feature: after you do a few runs they get automatically uploaded to the web site for your account. Then on the website you can pick 2 or more runs and graph them on one chart! Like these 2 runs, before with initial timing after with tuned timing below 5200RPMs

I also have it (see previous thread Virtual dyno - perfexpert)

I've tried it in 2 different cars and the results seem plausible enough.

My aim was also to quantify changes before / after some mods that I'm doing.
