Trying to Make a Baffle for a Muffler Delete
I made a muffler delete a-la the Fabspeed item and while it does sound stupendous it isn't exactly subtle. I have tinkered with some baffle designs for it. All have made it quieter but they sound terrible, crushing all the low tones and making it very tinny.
I have been putting them in the end of the pipe but was wondering if putting a baffle just after the cat vs. the outlet end would be helpful in making the sound more full vs. tinny? Thanks.

But by moving the ghetto-assed cone to just after the cat it was much better. It has actually dropped the Dbs (if only slightly) but surprisingly it does sound better. Less comically loud and blatty at high throttle inputs but keeps all the good sounds like the strange but really cool harmonics that start around 3k revs and the b1tchin' overrun. I will continue to tinker.

Too big and pokey-outey for my application. Given my quick-n-dirty experimentation so far, I'm confident I'll be able to make something.
