Poddig/motomatic switch

I have a switch on my dash. It looks factory the wiring looks factory as well but I can't seem to find any info on what it is or does. The wires run under the dash to the driver side then in to the same hole that the heater hoses come out of. Anyone have any ideas on what it is and if it's original or after market. Thanks

I believe that is a very early Hirschmann (sp) powered antenna, raise/lower switch.
