Original head studs all good, replace anyway?
Here's the issue, had a valve adjustment done, my eye sight is too bad at close range, even with glasses for me to do it, and they told me the head studs are all fine. Now, should I have them replaced while they're good and are easier to take out than drilling out broken ones, or just leave well enough alone and save myself the expense?
Car has @ 130K miles.

Wait until you do a valve grind. You're basically there now, mileage-wise. How's the oil consumption per miles?

John did the valve grind on my SC with ~145K and at that time replaced all the suspect studs (bottom row) as insurance. You are pretty close as John notes so you might follow his advice at that time.

Not sure of miles vs. oil consumption ( odo, broke beginning of spring, was going to put the 85 mph unit back in while I had it repaired, but never did ) but between yearly oil changes and aprox. 5000 miles per year I'd estimate that I put in about 3 qts.
I guess it can wait then. Thanks, I feel better already.
