TruDesign Wheels or Lindseys?

I'm back again with a question regarding 17 inch Fuchs....has anyone heard of a company called TruDesign Wheels?...they are supposed to make 17" Fuchs similar to Lindsey's...Are these a good wheel or should I stick with Lindsey's?....I've tried numerous times (phone calls and email) to Lindsey Racing but they do not appear interested in creating a set of 17" Fuchs at the moment.

Thanks

Do a search here on the board. There many happy customers from Jim (True Design Wheels), myself included. I did not have 17 inch Fuchs built up though, I had 16 X 9s made instead. YMMV

Christian, has Lindsey Racing been nonresponsive, or is it that they are not interested in building any 17s because they don't have any 6x16s Fuchs to build them with?

Christian,
Jim is building a set for me. Very nice guy and full of humor. Do a search and you'll find a lot of happy customers. As of last week, Lindsey did not have a set of donors available and I did not get a reply to my last inquiries forcing me into searching for other builders.

Bob,

It's been a little bit of both...I've left multiple messages with the woman that answers the phone for Mike to call me, but never received a return call...I sent an email and no reply...I did finally speak with Mike, told him what I wanted and he stated that this is the busy time for him and the Lindsey wheels are more of a "fill in" job when nothing else is pressing....he did state that I would need to supply four 6x16 Fuchs (two of which I already have, and was planning on purchasing the other two)...I got the feeling he did not seem too interested in helping me out any further than that...in my email I was very specific as to what I wanted and asked what I need to do to go forward with the ordering process, but never heard back...so I've been in limbo for the last 3-4 weeks....the Lindsey wheels look great and I would love to get a set, but am not too excited about the customer service up to this point...I will give the other wheel shop in Denver a call and see what that entails....

Thanks

Jim straightened a Fuchs for me. Told me what to expect & then exceeded my expectations. He had lots of wheel projects in-progress when I was in his shop. Looked like his custom stuff is top notch work. +++1 for Jim Lyon. The man knows wheels!

Do a search on Pelican. There is someone here that had Jim build his wheels. Plenty of pix in that thread. That's how I found Jim.

I have some 9X15s & deep 6s there currently,, already had Jim freshen up another set of 9s for me. If you want 3 piece 17" Fuch, Gary Stratton (Sonjay on PP) has been building them for years and he is just up the road from you in Orlando.

Does TruDesign do 17's? (Not 3-piece, but welded.) If they do, someone post it here. I'm curious.

I must say my experience with Lindsey customer service was excellent. Mike talked to me several times, discussing everything from wheel finish to proper backspacing for my application. He was accurate about his turn-around time and I have been more than pleased with the wheels.

Excellent...Scarab....when does Jim expect to have your rims back to you? Can you post pics of both front and rears when they arrive?...I need to call Jim tomorrow to discuss....one more thing, did you have to supply the core Fuchs? I have two 6x16s and two 7x16s (original)

Roger,

Do you recall what time of year it was that you spoke to Mike and actually had the wheels done by him? (racing season or off season?) It seems that's a factor as far as his time is concerned...which I can appreciate, and if I have to wait another 4 months for the Lindseys I have no problem with that.
