Ah yes, the benefits of twin plugging are obvious.

HP vs. Torque and the bicycle theory!
Hey Island,
I just thought of how your bicycle parallel relates to the difference between HP + Torque and why twin plugging helps more with torque than with horsepower. When pedaling a bicycle from a standstill you want to exert the most force you can from 12:00 o'clock on the pedal(piston) continuosly to 6:00 o'clock. This gives you torque. After you're moving at a clip the issue becomes staying in sync and feeding (flow) the pedals (pistons) to sustain the momentum or HP if you will. This is why flow is criticle to HP. Bobby ![]() |

![]() ![]() Right, "spinning" (as the crowd soon to invade with bicycle manutia, will tell you) is the way to get HP to the road. You don't force the pedals nearly as hard as you could (torque). Instead, you put the forces in much more often (than when jumping on the pedals)

Just so Camb and I don't confuse people. CamB's method applies to pre 3.2 motors. A 3.2 just uses a "splitter box" to run a 2nd coil.
Uh yeah - sorry for confusing anyone (I actually had no idea the Carrera was so different - don't I look silly ![]()
