928s4 brakes on a 911sc?

What rotors do I need to run these calibers? Also will my 7 and 8 16 inch Fuchs work w these brakes?a company called VCI has the rotors to run this set up but r expensive. I already have the brackets to mount the calibers and a 23mm master cylinder. Where can I find rotors and what other problems will I run into? Thanks

JMHO, based based on experience, you just cannot do this on the cheap.

Crap rotors shake the steering wheel right out of your hands and good rotors cost money.

My best counsel to you is to save your money until you can buy the right parts to finish the job.

You will need a 305x32mm rotor/hat assembly for the front to use those calipers. 951 Fuchs wheels are required for caliper clearance.

Cool idea. Sounds expensive though, to do it right.

I've got the right mounting brackets. Just need the front rotors to make it work

Wilwood 12.19 x 1.25 rotor with 1/4" hat.

993 brake conversion, source for rotor adapter

I have some pics of mine assembled in my garage, but my p-car project is on hold, so I haven't tested them. They bolted onto SC/Carrera struts/hubs and fit fine.

I have the S4 calipers and Coleman rotors on the front of my 911, street driving and tracking the car. I followed the bedding procedure but had challenges with warping. When it comes time to replace I think a more "economical" route might be to use a stock 930 rotor with the appropriate hat. Although heavier, I think it would give a longer life with less warping issues. Anyone using this combo? And if so what rotors and who's hats?

Thanks,

Tinker

Regular 911 Fuchs no, 951 Fuchs yes, barely
here's a set of 993 front w 304x32mm rotor in 952 Fuchs, I forget whether it's 7 or 8

other concerns are that you need a matching rear, 993 rears can be adapted to 911 trailing arms w/ 930 rear rotors, the calipers will need a little modification to fit.
