I still have Pistons left ove from my rebuild when I upgraded my upgrade.
I'm now running 10.5:1 so these are available. As for cams, I'm running carbs, and with these pistons and this cam grind, I was quite happy with midrange. THe cam came in my engine so I'm not swapping it. There may be better ones out there but my point is that even with the healthy top end range, my buddy with a 72 2.4T was EXTREMELY impressed with how strong my 3.0 was, and he never revved it beyond 4.5 grand. He said it had mor empower than his car at high rpm. I describe mine as very strong, but at 5k rpm, all hell brakes loose until 7300  CAM (not a recommendation per say, but at least a data point) I'm really happy with my cams but am interested in feedback from those in the know or maybe its better if i don't know any better   Pistons. They didn't see many hours and need a good home. SAVE the pistons! They are JE, max moritz style designed to extract the most form SC fuel injection (I'm on carbs, I've gone 10.5:1 and twin plug heads)

You know, if you just rebuilt your motor, and you have some pistons left over.... hhmm...

Check for dilivar head studs and replace them with steel. Use a magnet to check.
