rubber dust shield for front struts

I am about to install ER camber plates. To use the full negative camber, the metal dust shield of the strut needs to be removed and rubber ones can be installed.

Now I have read in the forum already that a fitting shield is a VW part, most likely of a VW Passat. Anybody knows the exact year of that VW Passat so I can go to the local dealer and order one?

Thanks in advance

You'll want to look at this thread. Contact the OP, Craig D, he'll know exactly which parts you need. Someone else probably has the part numbers handy too.

The slope is not slippery; in fact it is entirely frictionless.

When I got my ER camber plates I also bought perfectly size rubber boots from Chuck at ER. When installing, the upper opening was the perfect size for the top of the insert. The lower part I pulled over the castle nut joint of the strut/insert and cable tied both ends snuggly. Not sure if they had a VW part # or if ER sources them from somewhere else.

oh, he did not mention anything but we also almost forgot the adapters for the Koni insert. I will ask him.
