Show me pics of volt gage install

Just bought a volt gage from our host p# vdo - 323041 2-1/16 diameter
I guess I didn't pay attention but this thing came with no brackets wiring etc for mounting
Anyone have any pics or input on where I can put this gage on my 81 targa

Sorry, no pics, but I removed my ashtray and bolted in a 2-gauge mounting bracket in its place (volt meter and CHT gauge from Westach).

From about $4 on eBay. Works a treat. I only really want to know that its charging therefore that big spinning cooling thing is doing its job.

This is what I did. I preferd the OEM look and just had my guage modified. It also got rif of the stupid upshift arrow. It is right in front and I can't miss it.

Wesstach, an aircraft gauge manufacturer made it for me. Westach

It's been at least ten years, no problems. It was pretty cheap. Had to do some mods as it was a little smaller than the dash port.

A thermocouple with a spark plug ring, center plug. I could have done a more expensive version with a button to trigger all six but I figured it was over kill.

I don't want to hi-jack this thread, but Joe Bob, can you tell me what the normal operating temp is for the CHT?

In place of the ashtray using an autometer panel. I wanted to mount my AFR gauge, so added voltmeter to balance it out.

I did the exact same thing as GH85, it's a great, worthwhile mod.
