Cool What's this Relay for?

I have a battery drain of about 200 mAmps. Been though all the circuitbrakers without finding the problem. But when I connect the battery there is always a relay that clicks. If I take the relay out the drain goes down to 50 mAmps.

It's the standard black round relay but it's located in the trunk, left side, just in front of the fuel Guage.

Everything seems to work fine without it.

Cheers Martin

In my 3.0 SC, the plug in front of the fuel pump relay is an open hole. The one in front of that is (I believe) for the A/C - but don't quote me on that.

This one?

Relay position

Hey guys

Thanks for your answers. The relay is hidden behind the left hood strut, just in front of the dashboard. I didn't know it was there until I heard something clicking when I connected or disconnected the battery.

I made a red arrow pointing to its position.

May be it's for the clock or alarm system. The alarm is not from the factory.

Follow up

Hey folks!

Just to let you know about my progress.

The previous owner had the windshield changed, but without the heating. This relay is probably for the windshield heating.

Cheers / Martin
