Buzzing only occurs when the right side turn signal is on. Hazard lights work, but only the left side dash light is lit on upon the flash.

Sorry for the delay I'm currently out of the country till Monday. When I get in I will check the lamps, but I believe the parking lights all lit when opt he parking lamps were on. I'm almost sure they all flashed with the hazard switch was on, but can't be certain till I check.

Assuming they are all working does that mean the new switch I installed is bad too? Or could it be the on/ off switch for the headlights? I noticed when I replaced the turn signal / high beam switch it connected through the light switch.

Sorry for typos.....iPad....and thanks for the help!

I should be back in as early as today (Sunday). I've spoken with another member here on the pelican forums who said he'd look at it for me this week in Atlanta. In the meantime, once I arrive, is there any info I can provide to help determine the cause of this issue?

My truck is getting painted and won't be done now till mid week so if I haven't figured it out by Wednesday I'll trailer it to the pelican member for troubleshooting. Either that or I'll put it all back together and drive it using hand signals haha

still need to verify if all lamps are flashing with the hazard switch.

Romanoga 04-03-2016 11:00 AM

Should have that info by this evening. Thanks

Okay so all four turn signals flash with hazard on, but the drivers side marker light does not. It does however light up when I have parking lights on.

I had a similar, but not exactly the same, problem. Even though the ground connections seemed good, the problem went away only after I ran a new ground wire on the side that wasn't working correctly. There probably was a break in the original ground wire.

When you say "marker light" which one are you referring to? Under what condition does it not light up?

Based on your symptoms I believe your turn signal problem is an open circuit as shown on this diagram. Maybe a bad connection at the connector marked "4" . This is one of those round 6 pin connectors under the dash.

When I was referring to side marker light, it is the one with the small bulb closest to the rear of the car. It comes on as a parking light in every scenario, but not as a hazard.

I'm going to go ahead and install the new light housings I have and then investigate connections under the dash. I plan on dropping it with a pelican member this week to look over if this doesn't fix it. I'm kind of terrible at wire diagrams, do you by any chance have a photo reference to the location if this connector?thanks

Romanoga 04-04-2016 05:09 PM

I'm assuming it's the one from the turn signal switch?

Romanoga 04-04-2016 05:15 PM

Since my old ones had a bit of corrosion I decided to go ahead and replace the complete light housingshttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1459815333.jpg

Parking/marker lights are a completely separate circuit.
The hazard/turn signals are the same filaments. If the hazards are working, then you turn signal problems is not the bulbs/housings.
I'll try to take a picture of the suspect connector.

A picture would be great. Thank you

Fixed! I dropped it off at my buddy's shop and he had it fixed in no time. It was the wire coming off the back of the hazard light switch. He said it was worn from being bent over time and only had two tiny strands of copper wire holding it together. Wiring is something I'm going to invest some time in to learn I think if I plan on keeping my 911 which I absolutely do.

Just read you're thread and wondered if I should check the rear of my hazard switch.
I fitted a new turn signal switch a couple of years ago and everything was ok for a while.
Then when I signalled right or left I would get nothing. If I then switched my hazard switch on then off my turn signals would start to work. But sometimes when I depress the hazard switch the hazards don't even work, I think I have a poor connection in there.

Turn signal.

Still buzzing. I'm going to just take it into a shop. I'm sure at this point it's something simple, but will take some time to find the bad ground. I'll post what the results are in a couple of weeks when I have the time to get it to a shop.

You may have an open circuit at the fuse panel.

Ask me how I know....................
