78 SC rough running hard start
I removed my air boot and hoses etc. to get a look at the holy triangle.
Saw fresh oil ... plan to correct sometime ... After return of boot and hoses the car was hard to start and dies at idle. Any guess as what might be the cause before I remove boot to determine where I went wrong. |

I would double check that you got the hoses reconnected properly. Did one of the hoses develop a crack (leak) when you removed them?
Sounds like a vacuum leak is causing the problem.

The black boot across the top has developed a crack along the clamp line.

I wonder if the metal elbow into the boot were backwards what this might do? The line which goes to the air regulator/warm up regulator. |
